March finally got this year of gaming off and running with some truly fantastic games. The likes of Doom Eternal, Animal Crossing and Nioh 2 had scored big with both critics and gamers. And, now its April turn. This upcoming month may not match the previous with the sheer number of outstanding games but, it does have a possible generation-defining game in its mitts. Here are the best games releasing in April:

Hot off the heels of the successful remake of Resident Evil 2, Capcom has a remake of Resident Evil 3 lock and loaded for release this Friday. This latest remake shares the same over the shoulder gunplay from last year's remake along with a brand new PvE multiplayer to up its value. Capcom is very much keen to repeat 2's success but, does RE 3 Remake match its quality? Here's the review roundup:
Unfortunately, the global COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing and, as a result, your local government most likely placed a heavy restriction on movement. Now, you are stuck at home and have already somehow exhausted all your viewing options on Netflix, as well as, caught up with your gaming backlog. What an Otaku to do keep himself entertained? Watch lots and lots of anime of course. For our latest list, we are recommending 5 great anime series to watch for anyone who needs a little distraction from the boredom. And, since we have no idea how long this pandemic will last, each of the listed series contains a huge number of episodes to keep you glued to the screen and away from outside. It has been months since Nintendo blasted a colourful collection of news, announcements and updates directly to us but, that all changed today with a surprise Nintendo Direct. This one had the moniker of 'Mini' attached that suggested this was going to be a short Direct but, in the end, it clocked in just short of 30 minutes. The 'Mini' more came from the fact that this Direct was voided of any major blockbusters news or reveals as there was no update on Breath of the Wild 2 or Bayonetta 4. What we got instead was definitely smaller in scale but, some good announcements managed to stand out. Here are our favourites:
I have a thing for bats$%t crazy, over the top animated comedies so, when I first laid eyes on Rick and Morty, it was love on first sight. The show is one the most successful animated comedies of the last 5 years and for good reason, as its particular brand of humour is wholesomely unique. In fact, so unique that one would wonder if a similar show would see the same success. Hulu's Solar Opposite will be the first such test as one of the Co-Creators of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, is looking to catch lightning in a bottle twice.
March have been an incredible month for us gamers so far. There is no doubt that Doom, Animal Crossing, Nioh 2, Ori, Half-Life have all lived up to expectations but, arguable the big game on everyone's most anticipated list is Final Fantasy 7 Remake. We are now down to being only 3 weeks away from release prompting Square Enix to up the ante with its promotions. And, unsurprisingly, Japan is where they began with the release of 5 new (spoilerific) commercials that shows new gameplay to make the wait for us fans much more difficult.
