Do you guys remember our post about Disney's The Proud Family coming back? You know the one where Oscar Proud himself (Tommy Davidson), gave a random interview and dropped the bombshell that the series was being revived for the upcoming Disney+ service? Well, after nearly seven months of Disney+ being in operation and no sight of the family, I was becoming a bit nervous that the potential rebirth was already canned. Leave it up to Disney to surprise us all at the 5th hour as they have officially confirmed that the series is back.
Fresh off their fourth annual Anime Awards, Anime streaming giants Crunchyroll is looking to fill next year's event with their own originally produced nominees. Perhaps taking a cue from Netflix, Crunchyroll is putting megabucks behind eight anime projects for exclusivity and dubbing them as Crunchyroll Originals. I never like the show much while my wife, on the other hand, adore it but, during about 3 nauseating hours in, My mind began to wonder and landed at all the love stories/romances in animation. So naturally, I have made my list of my favourites to share with the world. This feature will consist of 2 parts ending next week when I take you through my favourite anime romances but, for today, we start with my 5 favourite cartoon romances:
We have beaten the dead horse about Netflix's ever-growing collection of quality anime at this point that no trace of the poor animal remains. But, when the online streaming giants keep throwing big bucks at quality such as the new anime Beastars, we can't help but sing their praises. There have been reports about exactly when Netflix would release the anime series base on the insanely popular manga of the same name and thanks to a new trailer, we now have final confirmation.
