Illumination Entertainment's mega-popular, mega-rich Despicable Me franchise was scheduled to keep trucking in 2021 with a brand new prequel. Then...COVID happened. Now, after waiting another agonizing year to see the origin story of Gru (The franchise's main supervillain) and how the minions began serving him, the film is finally releasing. So does the latest film add to the franchise's rising popularity? Or is it a despicable watch? Here's what the critics had to say:

Like Brandy & Monica, Jay-Z & Linkin Park, or Peanut Butter & Jelly, a great collab can create a beautiful and memorable experience. Such collabs happen quite frequently in the gaming world (see Marvel vs Capcom, Super Smash Bros, etc.), but it is never a guarantee the final product will produce sweet music. Well, Koei Tecmo and Nintendo are teaming up once again for another warriors game, this time bringing us back to the world of Three Houses with Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. So does this latest Nintendo warriors mash-up produce gaming symphony? Here's what critics had to say:
All dads are fathers...but not all fathers are dads! My grandfather often said that line to me when I was younger, and I never quite understood what he meant until my own son was born recently. Father's day is here, and honestly speaking, the day had always felt lost in the shadows of the juggernaut Mother's Day. It is like comparing Christmas with Kwanzaa, both equally important, but only one people truly care about. Well, I say...SCREW THAT! Pixar is once again returning to their incredibly successful toy box focusing on Buzz Lightyear specifically, and while it may not be the return of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command tv series (is it even on Disney+?), the new film Lightyear looks out of this world. Well, the critics' opinions are in, so does it live up to such lofty expectations and beyond? Here's the review roundup:
Are you one of those people that always found the sport of football/soccer too boring? What if it had way fewer people on the pitch? Where brutal fouling was allowed? Or was only played by a pudgy plumber and nine of his friends from somewhere that could only be described as a fantasy dream of a man on drugs? Is your answer to all these questions a yes? Then Nintendo may have the next best thing for you, and it's called Mario Strikers: Battle League. The insanely fun game of extreme football/soccer is back, but is this latest iteration a star player? Or a bench warmer? Here's the review roundup:
First announced way back in April 2020, titled Searcher Clade, Disney Animation finally pulled back the curtain and presented us with an updated look at the newly named Strange World. The film is directed by Don Hall (an Oscar Winner with Big Hero 6), co-directed and written by Qui Nguyen (who co-written Raya and the Last Dragon), and produced by Roy Conli with Jake Gyllenhaal voicing the lead. Here's is the debut trailer for Disney's Strange World:
