May is traditionally one of the leanest months when it comes to major game releases as the gaming industry usually preps for the Electronic Game Conference (E3) that takes place annually in early June. Nonetheless, we are getting a pretty decent package of fun games this month ranging from a major triple A shooter to a collection of 30 years old gaming classics in a beloved series. So without further adieu here are the games of May we believe should be on your radar:

When we first laid eyes on the PlayStation 4 exclusive Days Gone, we weren't sure what to make of it. The game-play always appeared to be a melancholy of different games including the likes of The Last OF Us and Left 4 Dead. However, the PS4 has had a stellar track record when it comes to its major first-party titles, so we remained excited for Days Gone. Now, with its release date merely a few hours away, reviews from critics began to pour out. Here are five of them:

We have been covering this game from its first reveal last year and made mentions numerous times about our excitement for the game. Every once in a while there will be a new Indie game that will hit the scene and wow us with great visuals and/or amazing gameplay despite its development budget. For this, we are always excited when a new fun looking indie game pops hoping that while playing you are having too much fun to stop and think that this game was made with by a small team. This explains our hype for Katana Zero, a stylish neo-noir, action-platformer featuring breakneck action. Now, after just roughly one month since its first reveal the game is already here but, does it deserve the hype? Here's what critics had to say:
If you were wondering where the heck is that Joker DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate then you are in luck, as Nintendo decided to gives us an early Easter treat and release the character yesterday. But wait! There is more! The Character Pack 1 featuring Joker was also accompanied with the arrival of the game's version 3.0 update which features some new modes.
