During a period of celebrating our Nation's Independence and Emancipation (not to mention the Reggae Girlz amazing accomplishment), the world was introduced to our very own anime called Jamaica No Duppy: Rise of the Conqueror. Why is this big news? Well, as it states right there next to this article under 'Author', I am lover of anime, and while the likes of Dragon Ball Z and Naruto played a huge role in my childhood, I always dreamt of a Jamaican anime that I could culturally relate to. We have seen passion one shots making an attempt over the years, but this project feels like the first real stab at it.
