​Crunchyroll's fourth annual Anime Awards are now done and dusted. There were no Hollywood stars or red carpets but instead a WWE host, shy/nervous presenters and the cringe-iest rap video you will ever see. It was perfect for a night dedicated to the anime industry and its fans. As for the awards themselves, Demon Slayer was the 'Joker' of these awards but, unlike the Oscars, the favourites took home the big prize. The night didn't belong to Demon Slayer only as Kaguya-Sama: Love is War sat alongside them on top of Awards table with 3 victories as well. In all the wins were spread nicely around as it seemed all nominees won at least once. Here's the full list of winners:

Like many of you who grew up playing the Castlevania games on the NES and SNES, I was beyond sceptical when word of a new anime based on the series was in production from Netflix. I feared the worst, like Donkey Kong Country the TV series worst. But 3 years on from its debut, here I stand corrected, the series has become one of the best-animated shows available from the streaming giant. And thus, a new trailer for season 3 and a confirmed release date, is the best Valentines' day gift this guy could have asked for. 

Crunchyroll for some time now has arguably been the number one spot for (legally) watching the very best of the Anime Industry. And come this Saturday, they will place the industry in the spotlight as their annual Anime Awards is once again on deck. Last weekend saw the likes of Toy Story 4 and Hair Love duke it out for arguably the biggest prize in Animation, but now, thanks to Crunchyroll, anime and it's fans get a much deserved day of celebration all to themselves.  

2020 promises a lot in the world of gaming as both Sony and Microsoft are preparing their next-generation consoles for launch. We know at this point that the PS5 and Xbox Series X are coming this but what we don't know (apart from how much these puppies will cost us) is the games for each consoles' launch window. So far we got the likes of Halo Infinite, Godfall, a couple of Ubisoft games and Hellblade II: Senua's Saga confirmed. And now, you can add Square Enix's Outriders to the list.

The usual glitz and glamour were on in full display at the 92nd Academy Award show that was held last night. Heavy hitters Joker and 1917 were the runaway favourites for the majority of the categories but, it was South Korean film, Parasite (no relation to the Japanese anime Parasyte) and its charismatic director, that stole all the headlines. As for the major animation categories, like Parasite, Hair Love was the underdog turned hero as it copped the Oscar for Best Animated Short. While it was the usual status quo in Best Animated Feature category as Toy Story 4 came out on top. 

Football fans have the World Cup, Athletics fans have the Olympics, NFL...the Super Bowl but for eSports Fighting game fans...our premier event each year is definitely is Evolution. 2019's edition was extra special for Jamaican esports fans as it was the first international competition the country had official national representation. Our competitors did well, and despite ultimately falling just short, the experience would have been deemed invaluable. Thus, the wait for this year's edition was becoming excruciating. Good news, with the 9 main games being revealed last night, we move one step closer to the World's greatest fighting game tournament.
