In a month filled to the brim with sequels, Doom Eternal sticks out as arguably the most anticipated. Being a follow up to the excellent 2016 reboot, many of us would have been perfectly fine with more of the same. Luckily for us, we are getting so much more such as new mechanics like high-difficulty Slayer Challenges, additional upgrade resources including Sentinel Crystals, and the ability to take control of some enemy units. So does it live up to the hype? Here's what the critics believe:

Being totally honest with you all...I never quite got the appeal of the Animal Crossing games. I am a die-hard Nintendo fan since I was in diapers but, I just can't wrap my head around any game where there isn't a particular end/goal. Saying that, if there was a perfect time to convert, it would be this one. Normal life at the moment is nothing more than distant memory thanks to our unwanted visitor, Coronavirus. So, a happy looking time sink game such as this seems like the best escape. But, is it worth your time? And, for longtime fans, should they visit this island? Here's the review roundup:
Back in 2017, Nioh pulled off something none of us knew we wanted...A Samurai DARK SOULS! The game was much more than that to be fair but, it subtle changes to the tried and true Souls gameplay that even have some believing that it even bested the Dark Souls creators' own stab at Ninja Souls. Nioh 2 is promising more of the same but, more refined. So does these changes make for a better game than the sequel? Here's the review roundup:
I began writing this blog some time ago as a means of sharing/expressing my love for all things animation and gaming to anyone willing to pay attention. We all live in a world that at times (and more so for some than others) can be a difficult place to be in and thus, I would often turn to animation and, more so gaming, for a temporary escape. Spending hours upon hours slaying noobs with your friends online or totally getting lost in the world of an expertly crafted RPG were at times, a perfect bubble from the harsh reality of life. So, what happens when that realm, that perfect bubble, is penetrated by the very same reality we tried so desperately escape from? The answer is not to panic but, to instead take notice, get informed and take to heart that there are aspects of life that are simply inescapable. The Corona Virus (Covid-19) is here and, it is real.
One of the best things about Will of the Wisps as well as its predecessor was the fact that they best symbolized how well Microsoft has done this generation to diversify its gaming catalogue. That game was constantly compared to the legendary games of the 'Metroidvania' sub-genre but, earned its respect as an amazing game in its own right after its release. Thus, people questioned if relatively new developers Moon Studio could pull it off again with Will of the Wisps. So did they? Here's the Roundup:
I am going to be totally honest, my first introduction to the character Spawn came via the 1997 movie that starred Michael Jai White. Yeah, I know, not the greatest of intros to the world of Spawn but after his guest appearance on the Xbox version of Soul Calibur 2, I was all in. To learn more of the lore, I got a hand on a few comics and watched all 3 seasons of the animated series quickly pushing him up there among my favourite comic book characters. So you know, I was jazzed to find out he will be making his return to gaming as another guest fighter in Mortal Kombat 11. And based on his new reveal trailer, it was worth the wait.
