With movies like Dragon Quest: Your Story and Lupin the 3rd, we are seeing a new age of gorgeous CG animation in Japan blossom before our very eyes. Now China has also entered the ring and this $700M animated film, Jian Ziya, looks to be their number one contender.

If you were a gamer that saw the upcoming Q1 game release dates and was worrying how you would be able to afford them all? Then I got some good news for you. This morning the insanely packed first quarter got a little lighter has both Marvel's Avengers and Final Fantasy 7 Remake have been delayed.
We here at Blue Crescent Studio (along with many major gaming publications) strongly believed that the recent Game Awards would be our first opportunity to lay eyes on the final Smash Bros Ultimate DLC fighter. That dream never came true but, luckily, Smashers weren't to wait long as Nintendo recently announces that series director Masahiro Sakurai, will be hosting a special video Livestream about the new fighter this Thursday.
With 2020 Academy Awards only a few weeks away (airing live on Feb. 9th), movie lovers got their first look at the full list of nominees. Blockbusters like Joker and 1917 lead the way with the most Oscar nominations but, as per usual, our focus will be on the Animation categories. This year sees the overwhelming favourite take on the surprise hit for 'Best Animation Feature' in the form of Toy Story 4 vs Klaus. While in the 'Best Animation Short category', Matthew A. Cherry and Karen Rupert Toliver's Hair Love is the darling contender that's going up against the likes of Siqi Song's Sister and Daria Kashcheeva's Dcera. We are only seven days into the first month of the New Year and, Nintendo fans are already feverishly clamouring for the almost traditional January Direct. The first Direct of the year often brings with it a host of megaton news and reveals from the house of Mario, so when the next Direct was finally announced, we got hit with the surprising fact that it will be strictly focused on Pokemon.
2019 is done, finished, finito! It is time to look ahead to the games that are releasing in this year and boy oh boy, 2020 looks promising. We of course, already know that next-gen already officially kicks off later this year with the recent The Game Awards giving us a small glimpse of this future. But, this gen isn't quite done yet as there are still several awesome titles on their way to the current consoles. And with that said, let us look at the major games releasing in the first month of 2020:
