The Lupin the Third series is legendary among anime fans worldwide since its debut way back in 1971. Since then we had been treated to the many funny hijinks of Lupin, Jigen, Goemon and the mischievous Fujiko as they constantly escape capture from Inspector Koichi Zenigata. Now, perhaps to signal the series' effort to keep up with the times, TOHO animation revealed a trailer on Thursday for the franchise's first 3D CG feature-length film...AND IT LOOKS GORGEOUS! The trailer revealed a December 6 release date but unfortunately, no word yet on an international release. The film is also the latest in what seems like a CG revolution with Japanese animation as the newest Dragon Quest movie is also done in the same gorgeous art style. If you are new to the series you can check out the current anime airing/streaming, Lupin the Third: Part 5, on Crunchyroll and Adult Swim's Toonami. For more animation trailers, check out the trailer of Dr.Stone and Spies in Disguise.
