No, the above picture is not the latest Hollywood movie starring a poor man's Vin Diesel. It is actually a rather mind-blowing short cinematic that ran in REAL TIME using Unity. Unity always had a noticeable presence at the Game Development Conference (GDC) each year and, despite the fact that Google's Stadia (More on this later) stole the show, Unity keynote also had our jaws dropping.
Epic's Unreal Engine may be the more popular of the two but, Unity had firmly cemented its place in the gaming landscape with game developers both large and small producing some of the industries best games. Microsoft's Ori & the Blind Forest, Cuphead and Hearthstone are great games that all had been considered as many's Game of the Year. Now with next gen on the horizon Unity's developers made it a top priority at GDC to showcased just how much their engine will be improving. The improved engine will feature:
