COVID-19 have disruptive the lives of us all in 2020 and even managed to pull off something that not even the entire Marine force could...stopping Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates. The series went on hiatus, the first time in the show’s history, with episode 929 on April 19 in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in Japan. But, that hiatus is coming to an end as Toei Animation announced via their official Twitter account that new episodes of One Piece: WANO KUNI will start back on June 28.

This is great news and perhaps, a small sign that life in Japan may be on its way back to some normalcy. This will also be welcomed news for those that have been date to date with the series, and have been waiting patiently for its resumption. I, on the other hand, failed in my attempt to catch up despite the hiatus, but 'the show must go one'.
