At this point, there have been many, and I mean many, entries in the popular Assassin's Creed franchise. Each game took us on a virtual trip through time and space to some amazing locations in history. From Renaissance Rome to Victorian London to Ancient Egypt, each game felt as if you were stuck on the History Channel and you can't find the remote. Well, you can pack your bags again as Ubisoft has revealed a new game in the series titled Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and we are heading to the era of the Vikings! Yep, you heard right. We are heading to ninth-century England and Norway with a slew of new gameplay activities including freestyle rap battles (I am serious!). In addition to the reveal, Ubisoft also gave us a new CGI trailer of the game -which is embedded below- to drool all over. Official Game Description: Become Eivor, a mighty Viking raider and lead your clan from the harsh shores of Norway to a new home amid the lush farmlands of ninth-century England. Explore a beautiful, mysterious open world where you'll face brutal enemies, raid fortresses, build your clan's new settlement, and forge alliances to win glory and earn a place in Valhalla. England in the age of the Vikings is a fractured nation of petty lords and warring kingdoms. Beneath the chaos lies a rich and untamed land waiting for a new conqueror. Will it be you? Sail across the icy North Sea to discover and conquer the broken kingdoms of England. Immerse yourself in activities like hunting, fishing, dice, and drinking games, or engage in traditional Norse competitions like flyting – or, as it's better known, verbally devastating rivals through the art of the Viking rap battle. Man oh, Man! As a big fan of Vikings and Norse Mythology, I am all for this new setting. With the last two Assassin's Creed games being top-notch titles I can't wait to be a Viking Assassin King when the game releases this holiday season on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, Google Stadia, and UPlay+. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN:
