Have you ever watched that movie were the nerd and the cheerleader always liked each other but was kept apart because of the cheerleader's fear of losing her popularity? Only for that nerd to grow up to be rich, handsome and now desirable to the former cheerleader? Well, grab some popcorn as it appears we are seeing the gaming version being played right before our very eyes as reputed industry sleuths DIRECT-FEED GAMES broke the news yesterday that both Microsoft and Nintendo are working together on something huge. According to their sources, Microsoft is working on creating an app for the Switch that will allow Nintendo gamers access to their Netflix-like game streaming service Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox game pass boasts an impressive library of both old and new games from the Xbox catalogue and with just a monthly subscription fee all of them will become available to gamers on the Switch if this rumour proves to be true. Even the massive, heavy graphical intensive first party titles such as Halo and Gears of War 5 will be able to run through the power of Microsoft's new streaming tech, Project xCloud.

Folks I am taking you back to a precious time in my childhood, all the way back to one faithful Christmas night back in 1993. I was only 5 years old when my father presented to me my very first handheld gaming system THE GAME BOY and I was beyond ecstatic to have Mario to play everywhere I go. However, the 'puzzlely' goodness of Tetris enter my veins and I was hooked instantly forgetting all about the plumber bros. Who knew a simple game about falling funny looking shaped blocks can be so addictive. Now 26 years later, when I thought I finally kicked the stuff for good, those b#$tards got me back hooked with Nintendo's release of TETRIS 99.
Aww Valentine's Day, a day for love, a day for flowers and chocolate, a day for another Blue Crescent Animated short. Our latest animated project was all about 'destined love' and we once again put (the still in work) Blender Eevee through the ringer to bring that message to life. After agreeing on the plot we got to work on the models first placing special attention to the star himself, Cupid.
We mentioned in our previous post just how much Netflix had been on point with their animation productions this past year and now they got further proof there are indeed on the right path as their original produced anime DEVILMAN CRYBABY was dubbed Anime of the Year at the recently concluded Cruncyroll Animation awards. Created by animation studio SCIENCE SARU, the series contains only 10 episodes and features a plot about an ancient race of demons that returned to take back the world from humans. Believing that the only way to defeat the demons is to incorporate their powers, best friends Ryo & Akira devise a plan that Akira would unite with a demon. Succeeding in doing so, Akira transforms into Devilman, possessing the powers of a demon but retaining the soul of a human.
DEVILMAN went up against the likes of A Place Further Than the Universe, ZOMBIE LAND SAGA and Violet Evergarden with the series director Masaaki Yuasa also winning the 'Best Director' award. The night also belonged to MY HERO ACADEMIA as it won the most awards including the awards for 'Best Film' and 'Best Fight Scene'. Fresh off releasing an new animated Carmen Sandiego series, Netflix is at it again to try and bring most of our childhood memories under one roof. This time they are partnering with Hasbro and Rooster Teeth to produce a new Transformers animated prequel series, Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy to be release next year.
Netflix's Press Statement:
“In this Transformers origin story, we will explore the expansive universe of Cybertron in a way that audiences have never seen before - to the delight of both existing fans and those coming to the franchise for the first time,” said John Derderian, Director of Anime for Netflix. “The Transformers brand is a global phenomenon and we are thrilled to partner with Hasbro, Rooster Teeth and Polygon to bring this exciting new series to our members around the world on Netflix.” Netflix has been on point recently with its animated content and we are more than excited about what they have in store for us Transformers fans. We are hoping they find some success with this Trilogy so they can may be produce other Transformers shows like say may be a reboot of Transformers Beast Wars (Our favourite). However, if you find yourself unable to wait to watch some Transformers, the new season of Transformers: Cyberverse is set to premiere over at Cartoon Network.
Naruto fighting Freeza...Goku fighting Light Yagmi....Luffy fighting Vegeta..If these scenarios is what you always wanted to see then the E3 2018 reveal of Bandai Namco's latest anime game JUMP FORCE must had given you a heart attack. Of course we had other fighters where the world of Shonen Jump came together (Namely our favourite J-Star Victory) but never at this scale or with these top notch production values. JUMP FORCE releases today but is it another great fighting game? or just pure otaku fantasy eye candy? Here are what some of the industries critics had to say:
GAMESPOT 7/10: "Jump Force is a worthy celebration of the legacy of Shonen Jump manga, but it honors its source material a little too well with how filler-heavy the middle of its story arc is. However, even if the game rarely provides a clear motivation for stopping evil other than good must always oppose it, the act of stomping out villains in Jump Force's frantic bouts of tag-team arena combat is an enjoyable test of strategy." IGN 6.3/10: "If you’ve got like-minded anime fans who are down to smash some buttons and watch the sparks fly, Jump Force’s fighting system allows for at least a few hours of shallow fun before it gets stale and repetitive." To read the full review please click here. GAMESRADAR 3/5: "Despite all of its clear flaws, I couldn't help quite liking my time with Jump Force. There's something quite charming about being able to team up Saint Seiya characters with ones from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and even Yu-Gi-Oh, and engage in visually stunning battles." To read the full review please click here. DESTRUCTOID 6/10: "Like the Dissidia series, Jump Force is something I'm going to be coming back to for random bits of fun throughout the years. The core is good, it's just let down by some odd design choices and an average campaign. This is an older brawler in an HD skin: if you want something more than that, look elsewhere." To read the full review please click here. POLYGON: "The Shonen Jump universe is full of color, life, and creativity. Jump Force brings its iconic characters to our universe, but it leaves everything else behind." To read the full review please click here.
