wow! guest who is the final DLC for Smash Ultimate

"this list was created with the idea that some of the recent rumours are right and the final member of the current Fighters Pack will be Sora of Kingdom Hearts."

​The above quote is from none other than myself and from a previous blog post I wrote when Sakurai revealed the second season of DLC was in the works for Super Smash Bros Ultimate...BACK IN 2019?! True or false, many believed Sora was slated to be the final fighter of season one. A dream that was spectacularly shattered by Byleth's reveal. We figured it was just too difficult for Nintendo to get Disney to play ball on one of their characters, but oh brother....they actually pulled it off.  

Yep, there he is. Sora is the final Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter, number 89 in fact. That's an insane number, and while Sora wasn't the top of my list (I only played Kingdom Hearts on the 3DS), he was for so many around the world.  ​

For me personally, today's news was a bit bitter sweet. It honestly feels not only Smash DLC is ending but the end of Smash itself. I just can't see Nintendo (especially if there is no Sakurai) can ever top Ultimate. So perhaps, this is the most fitting time to say:
