Not only is Cyber Monday a final chance for those bargain hunters who avoided the insane Black Friday crowd but also, a day that traditional signals the end of the year's major releases. The gaming industries' big release season has came and went giving way to the slow, almost non existence month of December. It wasn't easy but, we somehow managed to make our monthly recommendations possible with these 5 games: NEVERWINTER NIGHTS: ENHANCED EDITION (DEC. 3)The Nintendo Switch is no strangers to ports and this month another is on its way with the December 3rd release of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. Gamers will return to the Forgotten Realms in this edition of the bestselling Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game. The port combines all the content of Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition with all-new enhanced features. In all, gamers are looking at 100+ hours of gameplay, perfect for the harsh winter. This Enhanced Edition is not exclusive to the Switch and will also be on the Xbox One and PS4. darksiders genesis (dec. 5)Well, would you look at that...our first Google Stadia release on the list. When the third game in the Darksiders series was released late last year, it didn't exactly blow away any minds. Now, THQ Nordic is giving the series another chance to appease to gamers with new spin-off prequel named Darksiders Genesis. But the biggest take away here is the fact that the game will first release on the new Google Stadia service this month before hitting the other consoles next February. aliens: isolation (dec. 5)Did we forget to mention the Switch receives a lot of ports? Yep, there is another port that is on the way to Nintendo's hybrid console this month. Alien: Isolation first released on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 way back in 2014 and is now being spruced up for a release on the Switch. If you've never played Alien: Isolation (and you really should because it's great), the game is inspired by Ridley Scott's Alien. It follows Amanda Ripley, Ellen Ripley's daughter, as she attempts to discover what fate befell her mother. This release has all expansions and DLCs included and will cost you a cool $35usd.
Ancestors: The Human kind Odyssey (dec. 6)Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play as a chimp from a bad Animal Planet documentary? Then congratulations, someone heard your plea and came to your rescue by creating the game, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. Created by the guy that brought us Assassin Creed: Brotherhood, the game is a third-person survival game where players control a lineage of primates and are tasked to ensure its survival in prehistoric Africa and facilitate its evolution. Like Terminator Resistance, the game was already released earlier on PC is now only making its way to home consoles this month. terminator: RESISTANCE (Dec. 10)We move on to game based on a famous film franchise (Terminator) with Terminator: Resistance. Terminator 2: Judgement Day was one of the best movies I had ever seen, so I was stoked with not only the news that we would be getting a direct sequel to the movie but, that there will also be a new game to accompany it. The new movie didn't live up to Judgment Day in my opinion and, I will have to wait a little longer for the game to pass my judgement on it as its release was strangely delayed on the Xbox One and PS4 to December 10. PC gamers are currently fighting the resistance with the game currently sitting on a 9/10 rating on steam. And that concludes our top 5 recommended games for December. As stated before, the month is a bit lacking in the 'new' category but, with these 5 games and more, there should be enough quality titles to get you through the holidays. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN:
