See Keanu Reeves As A Tumbleweed In The New SpongeBob Movie Trailer

The new Spongebob Movie has Keanu Reeves starring as Tumbleweed 1...and that's it! That's the movie! We don't need to see anything else...but in all seriousness, fresh out of the water from announcing their new multi-deal partnership with Netflix, Nickelodeon is preparing to release their third SpongeBob movie, Sponge on the Run, for 2020 and gave us our first look at it via a new trailer.

The film is the 1st SpongeBob film to be fully animated in CG instead of the regular traditional 2D animation and centres around a plot that sees SpongeBob and his friends head out on a journey in hopes of finding SpongeBob's pet snail, Gary. The regular voice cast of the series is all expected to reprise their respective roles from the series along with a few celebrity cameos (LIKE FREAKING KEANU REEVES AS A TUMBLEWEED!). 

I loved the first SpongeBob movie but hated the second so I would normally approach a third with caution. Until they gave me Keanu Reeves as a tumbleweed, so I will be first in line at the Carib Cinema come May next year. 

The SpongeBob Movie: A Sponge on the Run is schedule for a May 22, 2020 release.
