THE 5 BIGGEST FOOLS IN CARTOON HISTORY

​Awww...April Fool's Day. A day for pranks...a day for trickery...a day to celebrate fools and, that is exactly what we plan to do today as we give much love to those lovable fools that we grew up with. In our opinion, these five are, as we would say in Jamaica, 'Dem dunce nuh Rahtid'. Here are our Top 5 Biggest fools in cartoon history:  

#5. Dee Dee

Ok, Ok, we know many would look foolish in comparison to a genius younger sibling. However, Dee Dee during the show Dexter's Laboratory many episodes she would constantly destroy Dexter's inventions with her less than intelligent decisions to always push that button. Her recurring question of  'Ooooh what does this button do?' is stitched into my memory for life almost making me into a believer of that old cliche about blondes. Although, in fairness, Dee Dee could be seen as more 'silly' than 'foolish' and she also had her moments when she would get the better of Dexter. Hence, why she is only number 5 on our list.  

#4. Ed 

​Double D is the genius, Eddy is the scam master and Ed? Well, we are just happy Ed knows how to put on pants. During Cartoon Network's Ed , EDD & Eddy we got to know the lovable but hilarious foolish character, Ed. It was clear from episode one that Ed may have a harder time finishing school than finally getting his sticky mitts on some Jawbreakers. However, while he may not be a straight 'A' student, he is a decent and sometimes dare I say responsible older brother to his little sister. Thus, his placement at number 4 in our list.  

#3. PATRICK

​Let us get this out of the way first...Sponge Bob himself could have easily made this list. But the honour for the biggest fool on Bikini Bottom definitely goes to his best friend, Patrick Star. According to a quick google search, a starfish doesn't have a brain (well, not centralized one anyway) and Patrick is definitely clear evidence of that. Just look at the picture above, that is him on a good day. 

#2. HOMER SIMPSON 

​Homer seems like your typical guy. He has a normal 9 to 5 job, he is a loving father and husband, he believes sharks are reptiles....ok that last part ain't so typical. After nearly 30 years on TV, Homer had demonstrated that he has the IQ of a doorknob. While he means well, he would routinely say and do just about the dumbest things you could ever imagine. Many of his foolish decisions would result in him hurting himself repeatedly.

#1. PETER GRIFFIN 

​And the winner is.....PETER GRIFFIN. Of course it is and, honestly, it is not even close as Peter is just a walking disaster. Peter in his efforts to tear down a simple billboard on top of a building instead destroyed a children's hospital after he placed the dynamite on the wrong building. Such carnage is only the tip of the iceberg as Peter is so dumb, downright foolish April Fool's Day should be renamed Peter Griffin Day.
