...as well as Sesshomaru's twin daughters. Yep, in a move that worked for Boruto (as I guess DragonBall GT), the Inuyasha anime series is getting a sequel/spin-off staring the children of some of the main cast from the original. It's been 10 years since Naraku was finally vanquished and our heroes apparently got baby-making. Titled Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, Viz Media unveiled an October release date along with the first full trailer: Viz Media describes "the brand new anime from the Inuyasha universe": The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time! In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's brother, Sota, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past. I adore the original Inuyasha series and frequently rewatch episodes any chance I get, but it was never a series I hoped got a sequel of any kind. A lot of the lore and world was centred around Inuyasha's relationship with both Kagome and Sesshomaru along with the united effort against Naraku that I thought it wrapped up perfectly back in 2010. Nonetheless, I will definitely check out Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (despite not feeling too enthralled with the plot) when it debuts in October. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN:
