If you grew up watching a lot (and I mean...A LOT) of Disney/Pixar animated films, you would take away many life lessons the films often display. One, in particular, is that life itself is unpredictable, ironically a lesson that Pixar themselves had to face themselves this year thanks to COVID-19 and the uncertainty over the release of their latest film SOUL. Until this yesterday evening that is, as Disney has decided on a final release date of December 25th, and celebrated with a new trailer. Yep...Soul moves from a Summer popcorn flick to a cosy Christmas film. Also, since COVID-19 continues to be a party pooper, the film will now launch on Disney+ as opposed to a cinema release (still waiting on Disney+ here in Jamaica Disney!). For anyone here being introduced to this film for the first time, here's a quick synopsis: The plot of the movie revolves around Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx), A middle school teacher and jazz musician living in New York City, he’s someone, Powers continues, “who’s lived his whole life like he was meant to do this one thing [music] to the exclusion of pretty every other thing.” As the norm with Pixar's movies things never goes smoothly as plan, as poor old Joe accidentally dies after getting his dreamed-about job of a lifetime. His soul then ends up at You Seminar, a celestial space where souls are made and given personalities before sent off to human bodies. With his soul at You Seminar, Joe meets 22 (Voiced by Tina Fey), a soul who loathes humans and avoids earth. Joe and 22 eventually team up and try to get his soul back to his body on Earth, which involves a journey through cosmic realms. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN
