Say what you will about Mortal Kombat 11's gameplay, the stiff animation or the god awful 'Towers of Time', but the game does contain one of the best story modes ever found in a fighter (a NetheRealm staple at this point). Today, NetheRealm reveals a new MK11 expansion call Aftermath that brings with it more story, fighters (ROBO FREAKING COP!) and a host of other goodies. Don't just take my word for it, check out the new trailer that was also released today below: As stated above, Aftermath also comes with 3 new characters along with the new story stuff. The headliner this time is the 80s robot badass cop RoboCop along with the return of past MK alumni, Fujin and Sheeva. Personally, I am more hype for the extra free goodies we are getting along with this update. Stage fatalities make a return along with the return of two classic MK stages, MK2' Deadpool and MK3's Soul Chamber. But, the best news of them all is the return of fan favourite Friendship. While the game may be waning in popularity among the Fighting Game Community, it is great to the see continued support for the title. More story for the excellent story mode is greatly welcomed as well as more DLC fighters. But, to also receive returning stages and Friendship (hoping for babyality one day) is just icing on the cake. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath launches this May 26 and will cost you $39.99US (if you already owned the base game and Kombat Pact 1). -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN
