After a slight delay from its promised release yesterday, the Blender 2.80 Release Candidate is now online. This release candidate is seen as "the final step before the release. Blender has been built and packaged just like the official release, and is available for a short period of testing. Please download it and give it a good try. If things go as expected, the final release will be one week after." "Blender 2.80 is the culmination of 4 years of work by developers and artists from the community'' according to the official Blender website. "No other release has been met with so much anticipation. Everything is now real-time and interactive, whether you make photorealistic environments or cartoon animation." Head on over to www.blender.org for the full breakdown for what is store for creators who download Blender 2.80. Of course, it is also the official place to get your hands on the software. Here at Blue Crescent Studio we are beyond excited as we are now so close to the main dish, you can taste it. For more on blender, check out the new Unreal Engine addon.
