Aahh...new console launches, they are the very definition of mix emotions. You spent months anticipating one of the happiest days of your life only to be left somewhat disappointed at a launch lineup littered with bad games, ports, bugging mess and that one hyped system seller. It's like anticipating the birth of your first child only the find out that he/she isn't yours seconds after birth. So when Sony confirmed the worst kept secret of when the PS5 will be released, we here at Blue Crescent Studio have compiled a list we wish...nay, demand, Sony will have available on day 1. street fighter 6Yes, we got Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition just last year and new content are still coming to the game but, if think back to the launch window of the PS4, Capcom and Sony shocked the world when they announced that the latest game in this legendary series would be console exclusive to PlayStation. And, with all of us being fighting game fans and the unlikeness of us getting an SNK vs Capcom 3 (we would much prefer this); we would not mind if they repeat the trick and give us a premier fighter on day one. a new sly cooperMost of us here at studio absolutely adore Platformers, especially 3D Platformers so of course, we are going to include the sly fox er..raccoon himself, Sly Cooper. This generation we saw the continued revival of 2D Platformers but, there weren't that many quality 3D Platformers outside Mario and A Hat in Time. However, Playstation fans also saw the return of Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and Ratchet & Clank this gen so it would only be fitting we get a new Sly Cooper game (Last game was Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time back in 2013) to kick off next-gen. a new gran turismoPlaystation fanboys look away as when the comes to the rivalry between Xbox's flagship racing sim, Forza and Playstation's flagship Grand Turismo, they have lost. Forza has pulled so far ahead of GT that it is practically run laps around it which is a shame since Grand Turismo used to be the gold standard. Luckily, a new console breeds new hope as the PS5 could be the perfect stage for a return to form for this once great series.
horizon zero dawn 2When the first Horizon Zero Dawn game released back in 2017, it went up against the Juggernaut that was the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild but more than held its own both commercially and critically. The game was a technical marvel on the PS4 so with the extra raw power under the hood of the PS5, the sky's the limit what they could pull off for the sequel. Plus, who wouldn't want a huge sprawling adventure game to start off their next-gen journey? a new playstation all stars battle royalSpeaking of Horizon New Dawn wouldn't it be great to see the game protagonist Aloy, beat down on Nathan Drake and Cloud in a game? Unless both her and Drake got invited the Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, this scenario would only be possible with a new PlayStation All-Stars game. Of all the games on this list, this one is by far the most unlikely to happen as the original game bombed in sales and the team who made it have already disbanded. But, as seen with Xbox's Killer Instinct, a fighter doesn't need the original creators to be revived. The first game had promise but with a few missteps which all could be ironed out with a sequel. Here's hoping our Sony overlords also believes that and breath new life into the series with an outing on PS5 day one. We must also note that when it comes to a launch lineup for a new console, 'New' is always more exciting, so we would welcome more new IPs than sequels. Nevertheless, thats our PS5 day 1 wish-list. What would be your dream launch lineup? Let's us know in the comments below. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN:
