Nostalgia is one hell of a drug! Today, during their Pokemon Presents Live Streaming Event, the Pokemon Company took me back to the year 1999 for one brief moment as they revealed a sequel to the much-beloved N64 game, Pokemon Snap. This sequel to the 'Pokemon photography' game was heavily requested by fans for over twenty years so, it was no surprise that the stream's live chat exploded during its reveal trailer. New Pokémon Snap game for Nintendo Switch is based on its namesake, which was first released for the Nintendo 64 console in 1999. This completely new game will take Trainers on an adventure to unknown islands overflowing with natural sights such as jungles and beaches, where they can research various Pokémon in their natural habitats. They will take photos to make their very own in-game Pokémon Photodex, all while discovering new, never-before-seen Pokémon expressions and behaviours. It truly warms my heart to see so many Pokemon Snap fans prayers finally answered with this announcement. My only gripe?.... This is releasing a few years too late since this would have been the perfect game for the Wii U gamepad. New Pokemon Snap was by far the biggest, but far from the only Pokemon announcement today. We also learned about Pokemon Cafe Mix, a free-to-start puzzle game, Pokemon Smile, a free app to help toothbrushing(!), and the fact that Mega Evolutions are coming to Pokemon Go. We'll learn even more next week, when Pokemon Presents returns on June 24, a show which will contain news of another major Pokemon project. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN:
