First of all, if you were searching for our September 2020 list and drawing up blanks I apologies as I took a few weeks off from blogging due to a little burnout. Maybe it was faith as the surprise drop of the 3D Super Mario Collection, and the excellent Hades would render it obsolete. Now, we move on to October, which also means just one last month of current-gen gaming before the arrival of the Next-Gen twins. Luckily, there are some great titles slated for release this month to past the time: Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (Oct 2)Ably titled 'It's About Time' the fourth game in the Crash Bandicoot series had been a long time coming. This time Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are back at it again and launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse! Crash and Coco are here to save the day by reuniting the four Quantum Masks and bending the rules of reality. Expect new abilities, new playable/returning characters and co-op multiplayer. Star Wars Squadrons (Oct 2)I was never the biggest fan of the Star Wars franchise (especially outside of the original trilogy), but I do love me some flashy space dog fights. That's what Star Wars Squadrons is promising when it launches on October 2. We will compete in intense 5v5 dogfights, unite with a squadron to tip the scales in monumental fleet battles, and take off in a thrilling Star Wars™ single-player story set after the events of Return of the Jedi. FIFA 21 (OCT 21)2020 saw the world's most popular sport almost placed on permanent leave thanks to Covid-19's interference. It all leads to an impromptu late start to the current season with a domino effect seeing the usual release date for the new FIFA game pushed back. FIFA 21 is now releasing October 21 and promises the usual roster updates, slight changes to gameplay and modes.
Ghost Runner (OCT 27)If you are into the whole cyberpunk aesthetics and setting, then I have some great news for you. Not only do you have the awesome looking Cyberpunk 2077 to look forward to in November, but much earlier you can slash away as a deadly cyber ninja parkour assassin in Ghost Runner. The game's plot is set in the future, after a global cataclysm. A city in a giant tower is the last bastion of humanity. Implants determine membership in various castes that divide the community. Violence and poverty lead to a rebellion. watch dogs: legion (OCT 29)Speaking of cyber technology...Ubisoft's much loved cyber action-adventure series is prepping its third entry for release. Watch Dogs: Legion will be one of the final triple-A games to release before the onslaught of Next-Gen hype. This will, of course, have questioned whether to pick it up on the 29th or wait for their new shiny gaming box to play it on. Either way, it looks great, and we can't wait to play it. October may be the final month of the current-gen, but at least it appears to be exiting excitingly. With all these fun titles, the wait for Next-Gen launch just got a little easier. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN:
