YES!!! IT'S FINALLY JUNE! No, we are not all caps typing because of the many potentially great games are coming out this month, but June is traditionally known to gamers as our 'Christmas in Summer' due to the annual hosting of the Electronic Expo (otherwise known as E3). This year's staging is made even more special due to the fact it will be the first all-digital showing, as well as the fact that we missed out on the 2020 version thanks to Covid. Ok, ok, enough of the many new games to be announced and time to turn our attention to those we know are arriving this month. Here are the best games releasing this June: Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (June 9)If you have always wanted a little more Xenoblade Chronicles in your MMOs then SEGA's Phantasy Star Online 2 may just be up your alley. Of course, the MMORPG series had long existed before Nintendo's Sci-Fi RPG, and will be born anew thanks to the massive stand alone expansion, New Genesis. This massive update will be free-to-play and overhaul the game system and graphics engine. Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis will release globally in North America and Japan on June 9, 2021. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE (june 10)If regular JPRG is more of your style, none comes bigger or better than the spectacular Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The game was truly a showpiece for the aging PS4 hardware, but we are now in the glittering bells and whistles of a new generation and we are salivating in anticipation for the sequel. Luckily, Square Enix is giving us somewhat of a preview with a next-gen port of FF7 Remake. Even better, the game also features FF7R EPISODE INTERmission featuring Yuffie as the main character, introducing an exhilarating new story arc, and numerous gameplay additions for players to enjoy. Guilty Gear Srtive (June 11)I said it before, and I will say it again. This new Guilty Gear is one of the most beautiful games I had ever lay eyes on. Developer Arc System Works just has a way with art and animation that can sometime have you watching more than playing. Of course, thanks to the Beta, we also know the game isn't just a looker and plays like a dream. ratchet and clank: Rift Apart (June 11)Max Morales was a blast and Demon Souls Remake was a spectacle, but PS5 owners have been chomping at the bits for a real meaty next gen experience. That time has come as the sharp minds over at Insominac games are readying the latest entry into the popular Ratchet and Clank franchise. Rift Apart promises to take us to a place that a lombax had never been before. Mario Golf Super Rush (June 25)Mario got to be the most multi-talented, versatile plumber in history. This guy drives carts, plays baseball, plays soccer and even dance. Now this Summer, he is once again cosplaying as a golfer in Mario Golf: Super Rush. It is the seventh installment in the Mario Golf series following Mario Golf: World Tour in 2014 and is part of the larger Mario franchise. The gameplay features various characters from the Mario franchise competing in the sport golf, with regular competition and other modes. scarlet nexus (june 25)Beautiful anime cell shaded graphics? Check. Awesome looking combat? Check. Fun and engaging role-playing gameplay? Check. Interesting enemy designs? Ahh...nope! Scarlet Nexus is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is set to be released on June 25, 2021 for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S. Get ready to fight weird looking plant creatures with legs. E3 officially runs from June 12-15, and would undoubtedly be the center of attention this month. But, I urged you not lose sight of these listed games and more (Chivalry 2 for example) as June poise to be best month for games so far this year. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN
