In a blink of an eye, the month of love February is already here, and brings with it, another slate of great games. The first month of the year was a bit light on releases but saw Hitman 3 shun brightly. This time, the Switch itself is in the spotlight with the majority of the month's big releases hitting the platform in some form. Here's what we dug up: LITTLE NIGHTMARES 2 (fEB. 11)Of course, as an admirer of all things animation, the legendary work of Tim Burton holds a special place in my heart. So, when I first laid eyes on the indie darling Little Nightmares, I had to try it out for myself. Luckily, the gameplay lived up to its Burton-esque aesthetics and was quite fun. Now, a sequel is on its way, and I can't wait to take the plunge into another nightmarish world. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury (Feb. 12)Here comes another WiiU to Switch port...yawn, but wait! Is that a giant Bowser firing a destructive fire beam at Mario in full 3D plane against the backdrop of metal music? Yes, the Switch has seen numerous WiiU ports, but this new Super Mario 3D World expansion Bowser Fury looks worth the price of double-dipping. Persona 5 StrikersKoei Techmo has been making the third party collaborate variations of their popular Dynasty Warriors franchise for many years now so, the announcement that the latest Collab would be with fame RPG series Persona didn't exactly move the needle. However, after a few gameplay trailers, it's clear that this Warriors spin-off will stay true to most of what made Persona 5 such a special and beloved game.
Ghosts 'n Goblins: Resurrection (Feb. 25)If you are a sucker for punishing games, then you may have grown up during the golden years of the SNES with the likes of Battletoads and Donkey Kong Country 2 in regular rotation. You may also come across the Capcom gem Ghosts 'N Goblins which was a fun (but difficult) platform-action game. If so, you may share my excitement about its upcoming modern remake Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection that hits exclusively on the Switch this month. Bravely Default 2 (Feb. 26)From one Switch exclusive to another...Square Enix's massively successful 3DS RPG series Bravely Default, makes the leap into HD with an exclusive sequel landing on the Switch this month. Default II features a new story/cast of characters, and contains a variant of the prior game's "Brave Point" system, and use of collecting different "asterisks" to change a character's job class. And there you have it, SWITCH OWNERS REJOICE! The second month in gaming looks to be diffidently, 'the month of the Switch'. Even if you aren't a Switch owner, the likes of Little Nightmares 2 and Person 5 Strikers are fun games that should not be miss. -YOU MAY ALSO BE INTERESTED IN
