It was unfortunate when Nintendo had to delay this finish game for over a year (of course, the war in Ukraine understandably took precedent), but someone once famously stated, 'the show must go on' and thus, Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp is finally releasing. This is a compiled package of two of the GameBoy Advance's Strategy RPGs remade with spiffy new paint, but does it land a 1+2 knockout hit for the Nintendo Switch? Here's what critics had to say:
It's hard to believe that Bayonetta 3 released on the Switch only few months ago, and yet...here we are, readying ourselves for another pulsating action adventure with Platinum Games' main witch. Well...in this prequel, Bayonetta is not a witch yet, and this is not a action game per say, but more of a co-op puzzler. Yep...Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Last Demon is a spin-off, far removed from the usual witch time romp we had all come to know and love. But does it do the main series justice? Or is only Bayonetta in name only? Here's the review roundup:
What you got to love about the mad genius Hidetaka Miyazaki is that not only he and FromSoftware team created an unforgettable experience with Dark Souls, but they also spawned a brand new subgenre to please and infuriate gamers. Yes, the 'Souls genre has seen many contenders over the years, and despite none of them coming close to dethroning FromSoftware with their own game, many studios made excellent 'Souls-like' games in their own right. One such was Team Ninja with the well-received Nioh series. They are back at it again, this time with a little Chinese influence sprinkled in. Here's the review roundup for Wo Long Fallen Dynasty:
As you step into the shoes of the protagonist in Atomic Heart, you'll be transported to a world where ancient traditions collide with modern technologies and where the lines between good and evil are often blurred. You will also be playing a game that is not only set in a fictional Russia but also sees the protagonist working for the Russian regime. All at a time when real-life Russia isn't exactly the most loved kitten of the litter right now in the eyes of many. Nonetheless, the game looks promising, but did it live up to it? Here's the review roundup:
Harry Potter is a series of 7 fantasy novels and 8 movies about a young wizard named Harry Potter who discovers he is famous in the wizarding world. And....confession time...I have never seen or read any of it. Yes, as sacrilegious as it may sound, the mega-billion book/film franchise had somehow eluded me. Maybe a fun and engaging Triple-A game is all I needed to finally step into the world of Hogwarts. Maybe, Hogwarts Legacy is the game to do it. Here's the review roundup:
